Original Left 4 Dead Released for Mac; New Community Campaign
0In an amazing turn of fate, Valve has actually made a release date! Valve Time is working in our favor today, as the original Left 4 Dead has just been released for Mac. If you don’t already own the second L4D, both games are 50% off for a limited period- be sure to grab them now if you haven’t already! Here at MPC, we pretty much play only L4D2, so you can grab that by clicking here!
In other news, there is a new community campaign out for L4D2- this one is called The Haunted Forest. It seems to be a trek through a forest to reach a haunted mansion. You can download it from L4DMac right here: Click me! You can also play it on the L4DMac server. Have fun!
Community Campaign: City 17
0Valve’s latest Community Campaign is City 17 by Mixmedia. The campaign is set in Half-Life: Episode 1′s City 17 level, and is a nearly-perfect recreation. The campaign goes through the underground up into the city, and ends at a train station where you must fight off a horde and wait for rescue. The campaign features co-op and versus modes for your playing enjoyment. You can play the campaign online by downloading it right here at L4DMac! Click here to download. You can play the campaign on the official Valve dedicated servers or you can play it on the MPCGamers server, which is accessible through our Steamgroup.
Mutations Week 19
0This week up on the Mutations front, we have a couple fan favorites making a return to the PC and Xbox 360. Due to community feedback, Valve has decided to rerelease Gib Fest for PC and Mac users, which is a mutation that gives you M60 machine guns with unlimited ammunition to blast your way through the hordes of zombies. On the Xbox 360, Chainsaw Massacre is making a return, which is a mutation that allows you to get chainsaws with unlimited fuel. Community Campaigns, Mac Version, and More
0Valve, the developers of Left 4 Dead 2, have announced some interesting things in store for their popular title Left 4 Dead 2 on the official Left 4 Dead blog. Among them is community campaigns, which means that Valve will be running selected campaigns on 120 of their official servers.
First up in the community campaigns list is 2 Evil Eyes, which is a campaign made by don set in a foresty type environment. It supports co-op and versus, and will be available for play both on the official servers and MPC’s own Left 4 Dead 2 server starting now. You can download the campaign from MPCGamers’s server page here for fast download speeds. Don’t forget that we also have many more custom campaigns all installed on our server, which you can join by joining our Steam group. All our customs installed can be found here. (more…)
